“We traveled to Kenya with Growers Alliance Coffee co-founder, Purity Gikunju. While there we visited her village and were welcomed with open arms."

“We played with the kids and learned about the water well project that Growers Alliance sponsors in the village. We also visited an orphanage and passed out toys that our employees donated. Growers Alliance also supports a free medical clinic which KeHE Cares is coming alongside.”

“We traveled in Kenya with Kosen Safari guides.  The owner, Kosen, also gives back and sponsors the education of 30 children as well as a solar light program. While there were moments of sadness on the trip, there were equal moments of pure joy and hope.  At one of the orphanages, there was a boy they referred to as Angel.  He was found abandoned on the side of the road.  I picked him up and he quickly fell asleep in my arms for over an hour.  If I close my eyes, I can still feel the weight of his body in my arms and feel his head on my chest.  Just remembering that moment brings tears to my eyes.  I never thought I could feel something so strongly for someone I didn’t know.  My life has been forever changed because of this experience.”
